One More Report on Summer Activities!

West Highland’s (Hamilton)
summer provided opportunities to multiply leadership development among their young people. Seven interns worked in almost every area of ministry plus in a Leadership In Training (LIT) program.  Together interns and youth served in the Sports Camp, Music Camp, community Boys and Girls Clubs and Vacation Bible Club at Hughson Street Baptist Church as well as one at West Highland.   Many children gave their hearts to the Lord through the ministry of each camp.

Forward Baptist Church (Toronto)
also focused on leadership development plus community engagement/evangelism. Together with 4 summer interns, they hosted a free community BBQ, participated in the local street sale with free food and a bouncy castle, and ran Kids, Youth, Family, Cooking, and Backyard Bible Camps. New connections with people in the neighbourhood were made and existing relationships were strengthened.

Memorial Baptist Church (Stratford) held a “FUEL” Day Camp with 37 kids and 12 leaders. Teaching and activities focused on fueling bodies, minds, and spirits in a healthy way and included food, Aquafit, a Zumba class, and a visit to the Fire Station! The Bible focus was Daniel. The “Maker Fun Factory” VBS occurred in August. Over 50 leaders and 110 kids came together to learn that they were "Created by God, Built for a Purpose"! Over 10 Bibles were given out and several of the children spoke to their leaders about becoming a Christian.  God's love was shown and shared with the kids and families in the community!

Queensway Baptist Church (Toronto)
ran a VBS under the leadership of Darrelyn Dobbin, Youth and Children's Director.  The 120 children came from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and heard Bible stories and the Gospel in creative ways. Many made decisions to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.   The 60 volunteers helped make it a terrific week of ministry!

We serve a great God!
