Ministry Intern - Maple Avenue Baptist Church, Georgetown

September 1, 2020 - August 31, 2021

The Church

Located in the heart of Georgetown, Ontario, we are a group of Christians that desire to cultivate a pervasive disciple-making culture in which every member is a disciple-maker. We are intent on making disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Position
Maple Avenue Baptist Church (MABC) in Georgetown, Ontario, desires to raise up and equip men and women to serve God’s Kingdom as pastors (men), missionaries or other full-time Christian workers. To that end, we have established a paid, 12-month Ministry Internship designed to supplement formal theological education. Ministry Interns will function as a part of our ministry team, entrusted with high-level ministry responsibilities. They will receive training, feedback and supervision from our pastoral team.
The ideal candidate will concurrently be attending a seminary or other formal theological training program full time at an accredited institution. Those who have just completed seminary or who are taking less than a full-time course load will also be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Preference will be given to members and adherents of MABC and then to those with a close tie to MABC. The Ministry Internship commences September 1, 2020 and runs through August 31, 2021.

Lead Pastor - Olivet Baptist Church, Meaford

The Church
Olivet is an active, community-based church on the southern shores of Georgian Bay in the beautiful town of Meaford. Our church is located on a large property in a quiet neighbourhood just off the main highway through town. We consistently have about 100 awesome, loving and spirit-filled members gathering each week who strive to seek and save the lost. We are known throughout town for our kids program and our annual VBS, along with an active adult and senior program, as we reach out to the community for Christ. Meaford is a GREAT place to raise a family.

The Position
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, self-motivated, Spirit-filled lead pastor to work with the deacons and soon to be appointed elders to lead our congregation as we reach out to our community and to strengthen the brethren of Olivet. Pastoral experience of at least 5 years is preferred.

Lead Pastor - Pioneer Baptist Church, Norland

The Church
We are a family of evangelical Christian believers in the village of Norland in the north end of City of Kawartha Lakes on highway 35 in Central Ontario. Our folks live in a beautiful area of Ontario with many lakes, some farms, and lots of forest. Lead Pastor - Peel International Baptist Church, Brampton

The person can teach, lead and model evangelism and discipleship. He can encourage, develop and strengthen lay leadership in the church. He is Missions minded.

Responsibilities
 - Provides vision and direction for the Church.
 - Shepherds the flock through faithful expository Preaching of God's Word; through Teaching Bible Truth with flexibility according to various learning needs of the members; through Discipling & Pastoral Care.
 - Exercises delegation and oversight.
 - Develops and mentors lay leadership.

Requirements
 - Bachelor’s degree in Biblical theology or ministry from an accredited Bible School.
 - 4-6 years full-time Pastoral ministry experience.
 - With excellent English command.
 - Able to adapt to different demographics.

Pastor of Young Adults - Emmanuel Baptist Church, Barrie

The Church

The Position
We are seeking a passionate, visionary leader to lead our vibrant Young Adults ministry (ages 18-30) as well as other shepherding opportunities in our church community. This person must demonstrate the ability to teach God’s Word, easily develop relationships with others, have a passion for evangelism, and work well as a member of a large pastoral team.

Responsibilities:
• Provide vision, leadership, oversight, teaching, participation and advancement of the Young Adults Ministry (Centred) at Emmanuel, creating a community in which people grow in love for God and their neighbour.
• Develop and lead weekly Young Adult Ministries, worship, teaching, and fellowship times (i.e. oversee the main teaching for Young Adults on Thursday evenings, weekends and other designated ministry times).
• Disciple and shepherd young adults, with a particular emphasis on the spiritual care of Emmanuel’s young adults who remain locally or are away attending college or university.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant ministry field preferred (Biblical Studies, Religious Education, Church Ministry, etc)
• A minimum of five years full-time ministry experience preferred
• A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated in a love for the gospel and non-churched people

Youth Leader/Pastor, Self-Supporting – Wawa Baptist Church, Wawa

We are looking for an energetic, ministry-minded individual committed to reaching the youth of our community. We have a partnership with the Pentecostal church for junior and senior youth in the town of Wawa. The junior program (grades 4-7) centres on youth ministry activities. However, the senior program is styled as a youth drop-in centre which is comprised of mostly unchurched youth (grades 8-12) from the town of Wawa. Many of these youth come from broken and troubled homes. The goal of the senior drop-in program is not only to give these youth a safe place to hang out and have fun, but to develop relationships with them for opportunities to share the love of Jesus.
